While Carlo Ancelotti will probably have three returnees in the squad (Antonio Rüdiger should start, David Alaba and Lucas Vázquez at least sit on the bench), Pep Guardiola will have to think of one or the other. Nevertheless, the Catalane can look forward to a relaxed Champions League general rehearsal, thanks to the City in the Premier League in fourth place and in touch with the Liverpool FC: Mancity has 44 points after 25 match days, Liverpool 57 after 24.
