There’s a third successive south coast derby in the Premier League tonight and the clash between Brighton and Bournemouth should be a cracker.
These sides have both spanked Southampton at St Mary’s in the past fortnight and now they face off at the Amex, with both still in with a shout of sealing Champions League football for next season.
Bournemouth’s hopes took a hit on Saturday after losing at home to Wolves but a first-half red card played a big part in that 1-0 loss. So Andoni Iraola will be looking to bounce back with a win that would move his team six points clear of the Seagulls.
Brighton and Hove Albion vs AFC Bournemouth top betting tips
With both teams boasting plenty of attacking talent, this has the potential to be an open and exciting game. It ended 2-1 to Brighton when these sides faced off at the Vitality earlier in the season, while the last three meetings have all seen over 2.5 goals.
BTTS is just 4/9 at BoyleSports for this one but adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds a bit to 4/5. The price is better if you go for over 1.5 first-half strikes as that pays 13/10.
With both managers likely to set up to attack we could see a lot of corners in this one and over 11.5 flag kicks is priced at 13/10. The Cherries won 7-0 on the corner count in the last meeting so could offer some value at +1 in that handicap tonight, which pays 11/10 at BoyleSports.
Chelsea vs Southampton top betting tips
Chelsea have dropped down to seventh after three successive Premier League defeats and fans are starting to grumble, with the team losing all their early momentum under new boss Enzo Maresca.
But the Blues won’t get a better chance to bounce back than a home clash with doomed Southampton and BoyleSports make Maresca’s side 1/5 hot favourites.
That’s understandable given Saints have just suffered heavy home defeats to Bournemouth and Brighton, with the Seagulls smashing four past them on Saturday.
Midfielder Joe Aribo had to play as an emergency defender in that game and it’s hard to see Ivan Juric’s injury-hit backline coping with Chelsea’s forwards.
Pedro Neto looked dangerous playing down the middle at Villa on Saturday night and he’s 7/4 at BoyleSports for anytime scorer, while an assist pays 2/1 at Bet365.
I also like the boosted 6/4 available at BoyleSports for the Blues to win both halves against this dispirited Southampton side.
Celtic vs Aberdeen top betting tips
Celtic lost a domestic game for just the second time this season on Saturday but it didn’t do them any harm as Rangers then crashed to defeat just hours later to stay 13 points behind the champions.
I thought the Hoops might be a little vulnerable away to an in-form Hibs side after putting so much physical and emotional effort into their Champions League play-off clash with Bayern Munich.
They now face an Aberdeen side who have turned the corner by winning three games in a row after a horror run that saw them go 14 Premiership games without a win.
Jimmy Thelin’s men could be a tough nut to crack so Jota’s creativity down the left flank will be key for Celtic. The Portuguese star is 11/10 at BoyleSports for anytime scorer while a goal from outside the box is priced 11/2 at Bet365.
The Dons had two full-backs crocked at the weekend so skipper Graeme Shinnie may have to deputise in that position. The veteran midfielder will be up against a flying Hoops wide boy so he appeals for a card at 13/8 with BoyleSports.
