Consumer dissatisfaction with telecommunications operators has shot since Digi's arrival in Portugal in November. According to Anacom data, complaints related to number portability increased 535%, while the problems to cancel services grew 77%.
In the last three months, the Romanian operator has received 693 complaints, 49 directly addressed to Anacom and 644 registered in the physical and electronic complaint books, reveals the 'JN'.
Difficulties in termination of contracts and operator change without losing the number of mobile phone have been the main reasons for contestation. In total, 1,900 complaints about cancellations were filed and 583 on portability between November and January, excluding complaints against DIGI. The remaining operators also face contestation, with MEO leading the list of the most claimed (184 complaints), followed by NOS (184) and Vodafone (150).
In addition to portability, consumers complain mainly about failures in services, difficulties in the installation and problems in customer service. Despite the high number of complaints, Digi maintains the lowest prices on the market, offering 26 euros internet, television and mobile phone packages, with only three months of loyalty compared to the two years required by competitors.
