[Trending News] Report: Sixers to sign Chuma Okeke to 10-day deal out of the G League

The trade deadline is over in the NBA and the Philadelphia 76ers made their moves as they feel like they are positioned well enough to go after a championship in the East despite the 20-30 start to the season.

The Sixers added sharpshooter Quentin Grimes from the Dallas Mavericks in a deal and they also added a talented guard in Jared Butler. They also got below the luxury tax and created some financial flexibility for the future.

With the deadline now over, the Sixers will reportedly give a former first-round pick a chance in a return. Chuma Okeke, the No. 16 pick of the 2019 draft, will sign a 10-day deal with the Sixers after playing all season in the G League with the Westchester Knicks.

Okeke has 189 career NBA games under his belt with the Orlando Magic and has career averages of 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 31.8% from deep. In 26 games with Westchester in the G League, he is averaging 17.3 points and 7.6 rebounds with 5.0 assists. He will now have his chance with the Sixers.
