While the Super Bowl is known as the biggest night in football, it is also a huge night for pop culture in many ways, including iconic commercials, celebrity guests in the crowd and of course, the halftime show.

The mid-game concert has seen many stars over the years, from Beyoncé to Katy Perry to last year’s Usher. This year’s Super Bowl performances will feature a Grammy award-winning headliner, exciting musical guests and a celebrity rendition of the national anthem.

Here’s everything to know about who is performing at the Super Bowl this year, including fan theories about surprise guests.

Who will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this year?

Before kickoff, composer and singer Jon Batiste will take the field to sing the national anthem.

Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will perform “America the Beautiful” together, and Grammy-award winning artist Ledisi will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” known as the Black national anthem.

Who is performing at the Super Bowl this year?

Kendrick Lamar is set to headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

This will not be the California rapper’s first time on the Super Bowl stage, as he appeared in the 2022 halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem and Mary J. Blige. Now returning as the headliner, Lamar is more decorated than ever, picking up five Grammy awards for his viral song “Not Like Us” at the 67th annual awards show last week.

Along with “Not Like Us,” Lamar can be expected to play hits like “HUMBLE.,” “DNA,” “Alright” and “Squabble Up.”

Fellow Grammy award-winner SZA was announced as Lamar’s official surprise guest for the halftime show. The pair, who are touring together later this year, have many songs together: “30 For 30,” “luther,” “gloria,” “Doves in the Wind,” “Babylon” and “All the Stars,” an Oscar-nominated hit song from the “Black Panther” soundtrack.

SZA may also perform some of her own popular songs, including “Kill Bill,” “Good Days” and “Snooze.”

While SZA is the only confirmed guest, Lamar has collaborations with many other artists who fans believe could be surprise guests, including Beyoncé, Future, Rihanna, Jay Rock and Metro Boomin.

Lamar’s cousin Baby Keem, who collaborated on songs like “Range Brothers,” “The Hillbillies” and “Family Ties,” is a likely surprise guest. Fans also believe that Lamar may bring out Lil Wayne for their song “Mona Lisa,” especially after Lil Wayne expressed disappointment over not playing at the Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans.
