Valencia, 6 Mar. (Europa Press) –
Ana Belén and Víctor Manuel will open the sixth edition of the Labseries Festival, which will be held from April 1 to 6 at the Valencian Film Library, La Mutant and Nau 3 Ribes.
The contest places the series in the center of the conversation and intends to analyze through them the state of televised fiction, but also use certain titles to talk about cultural trends and various social issues. Thus, screenwriters, directors, writers and performers, among other guests, participate in this new edition, says the Institut Valencià de Cultura.
The David Brieva, historian Áurea Ortiz and journalist Mikel Labastida are responsible for the direction of the labdeseries. The Institut Valencià de Cultura, through the Valencian Filmoteca, promotes this appointment with the collaboration of the City Council of València, the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (Ivaj) and Escriptores de l'Audiovisual Valencià (Edav).
Ana Belén and Víctor Manuel, one of the most famous artistic couples in the country, will be in charge of opening the festival with an inaugural session at the Valencian film library, on Tuesday, April 1, at 8:00 p.m., in which the series of their life will review. Both will take command to make zapping and reveal their tastes as spectators, as well as their habits associated with the consumption of this type of fiction.
Ana Belén will also remember some of her professional experiences as an actress in titles such as 'Fortunata and Jacinta', 'Petra delicate' or 'betrayal'. The journalist Mariola Cubells will be in charge of moderating this conversation.
Labdeseries will pay special attention to television comedy, a genre that is not usually so claimed between critics and spectators. The sixth edition will also propose talks and encounters in which other formats will be accommodated.
On the other hand, the poster of this sixth edition of Labseries has been designed by Martín López Lam, Peruvian illustrator based in Valencia. In it, a huge frog characterized by vibrant colors and casual composition focuses the main image.
'Things that come in chapters'
It is a design that, in the words of its creator, “arises from the concept 'things that come in chapters'. The frog has some of the best plot turns of nature: each phase of its metamorphosis is a different chapter. It changes and metamorphosely as a series throughout its seasons.”
Born in Lima in 1981, López Lam lives and works in Valencia since 2003 in projects related to drawing, comic, screen printing and self -edition. His work has been exposed individually in the galleries and museums of Valencia, Madrid, Badajoz, Bologna, Lima and Marseille; and collectively in different spaces in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Serbia, France, Colombia and Peru.
He has published 'Part of all this' (Edicions de Ponent, 2013), 'Sirio' (Fulgencio Pimentel, 2016), 'The title does not correspond' (Valientes Editions, 2016), 'Mixed Salad' (Le Dernier Cri, 2017), 'The ages of the rat' (Salamandra, 2019), 'blink' (Kus Komiks, 2021) 'Yawning with me' (at a good step, 2024). Since 2011 he is part of the Gold For sale collective, responsible for the TENDEREE SELF -EDITION Festival.
