A series of severe thunderstorms is sweeping over the South, threatening almost half of the United States with tornadoes, hail, and devastating wind gusts. According to AccuWeather, a severe weather event is predicted to strike central and eastern regions of the United States from Monday evening to Wednesday evening in early March.
The National Weather Service also wrote in a post stating that massive thunderstorms are expected to hit US on Tuesday night.

“Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday night. Damaging straight-line winds and a tornado or two are possible with these storms,” the NWS wrote.

According to the National Weather Service office, the storm will initially affect the Florida Panhandle region, which includes the Pensacola and Destin regions.

The NWS has advised locals to be weather-alert, have many methods to get warnings, and be aware of their safe spots in advance. Thunderstorms and strong wind gusts could make travel dangerous, especially along the Interstate 20 and Interstate 30 sectors. Strong crosswinds could put trucks, buses, and SUVs at serious risk of rolling over.

Alongside storms, flash flooding is most likely to occur in regions like the Tennessee Valley and portions of the Ohio that were previously affected by significant rainfall in mid-February.
