[Trending News] New Horror Comedy CANNIBAL COMEDIAN Is Coming To Make You Laugh Yourself Sick

A stand-up funnyman makes the bodies fall in Cannibal Comedian, whose producers have exclusively shared with FANGORIA the photos seen below and a video announcement by Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s Edwin Neal. Following a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and VHS release by Scream Team Releasing March 1, the Cineverse movie will stream exclusively on Screambox and become available on digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, Microsoft Xbox, Google Play and Fandango at Home March 4.

Cannibal Comedian was written and directed by Sean Haitz and produced by Haitz and Ryan James, and stars Aaron Prager, Austin Judd, Robert Dunne, Mis Sadistic, David Vega, Neal and his Chain Saw co-star Allen Danziger. The synopsis: “Cannibal Comedian tells the story of a psychopathic cannibal who is fed up with his lack of ambition and takes a stab at stand-up comedy in an attempt to chase both his dreams and his victims.”

Among the many awards it has won are Best Feature at the HorrorHound Film Festival and the Houston Horror Film Festival, a Hubbie award at the Joe Bob Briggs World Drive-in Movie Festival, and Best Horror Feature Film at the Culver City Film Festival, the Marina del Rey Film Festival and the Silicon Beach Film Festival.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cineverse and Scream Team Releasing to bring Cannibal Comedian to the horror and stand-up comedy fans,” Haitz says. “I think people are really going to eat it up! It’s a love letter to my favorite horror classics like Texas Chain Saw and comedies such as Ace Ventura. When I first moved out to Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to try my hand at stand-up and quickly realized how brutal it was, but for the main character of Charlie, he kills both on stage and off stage.”

“Excited to be working with Sean, Ryan and Scream Team Releasing on Cannibal Comedian,” says Brandon Hill, executive director of acquisitions at Cineverse, which has previously handled the Terrifier films and has the Toxic Avenger remake coming to theaters August 29. “They’ve put together a really fun and dynamic film and our Screambox and Bloody Disgusting audience will really chew into it.”
