[Trending News] Billy Joel Sparks Concern With Dramatic Onstage Fall

Billy Joel gave his fans a scare when he suffered a major spill during a recent performance.

Video captured at the Piano Man singer’s Saturday, Feb. 22 concert at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., showed the 75-year-old falling on his back in a painful onstage moment.

In the clip, the legendary musician was performing “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” when he picked up the microphone stand and twirled it around before tossing it to the side. That’s when he lost his footing and fell to the ground.

According to The U.S. Sun, one fan who attended the show said the singer “looked frail hobbling across the stage” after the incident.

“At one point, he was using the microphone stand as a cane,” the audience member said. “I was really very concerned about him throughout the concert.”

“Before he fell, I said to my friend ‘he’s going to fall’ and then he did,” the concert-goer continued, explaining that the “venue gasped when he hit the floor.”

“He definitely looked thrown off but somehow he managed to finish the show with a final song,” the fan said.

On social media, one fan had an optimistic outlook.

“Well, if falling over on stage is the worst thing he’s done, I’d say he’s doing alright for himself. Just a bit of a wobble, nothing to lose your tea over,” wrote one X user.

“The guy is 74 He is frail,” another person pointed out (though they were wrong about Joel’s age).

“Oh my Goodness Hope he gets better,” someone else chimed in.

In January, Joel canceled a concert at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood because of a “medical procedure,” sharing the news in an Instagram post. The show was rescheduled for November 2025.

Although the Grammy winner didn’t offer details about the procedure, he has opened up about undergoing hip replacement surgeries and a back surgery in the past.

Joel’s rep did not immediately respond to Parade‘s request for comment.
