Jane Fonda has high hopes for the Barbarella reboot, even if she’s not involved. The Dario Argento classic Phenomena is heading to TV. Plus, behind the scenes on The Boys‘ final season. To me, my spoilers!
The Third Parent
According to Deadline, writer/director David Michaels has been hired to adapt Elias Witherow’s popular creepypasta, The Third Parent, into a feature film for the Walters Media Group. Said to be “set amidst the 4th of July celebration,” the film concerns “a disturbing figure named Tommy Taffy. Disguised as a human, he infiltrates a suburban neighborhood and imposes authoritarian rule over an unsuspecting family.”
Barbarella
Jane Fonda confirmed “nobody’s asked” her to appear in Syndey Sweeney’s Barbarella remake during a recent interview with Vogue.
Nobody’s asked me about it! I wish I could do a remake of Barbarella, but I wouldn’t play her again. I have a lot of ideas about what that could look like. If Sydney asks, I’ll let her know. I don’t know her and I’ve never met her, but I think she’s great. I’m sure she’ll be a fantastic Barbarella.
Superman
James Gunn shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor in honor of the character’s 85th anniversary.

Phenomena: The Series
Variety reports a TV series based on Dario Argento’s 1985 film, Phenomena, is now in development at Italy’s Titanus Productions and Series Mania. Adapted for television by Nicola Guaglianone and Menotti, the original film concerned a teenage girl with the power to control insects solving a string of gruesome murders at her all-girl boarding school.
Daredevil: Born Again
During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Marvel Studios’ Brad Winderbaum, confirmed there are plans to release a new season of Daredevil: Born Again every year at Disney+ into “season infinity.”
That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.
It’s certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It’s New York through New York, and the fact that we’re able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series.
The Boys
Karl Urban also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself on the set of The Boys‘ fifth and final season.
Yellowjackets
Coach Ben is put on trial in the trailer for “12 Angry Girls and 1 Drunk Travis,” next week’s episode of Yellowjackets.
Common Side Effects
Marshall goes to jail in the trailer for next week’s episode of Common Side Effects.
Wolf King
Finally, a medieval commoner learns he’s genetically a werewolf and therefore the heir to the throne in the trailer for Wolf King, a new animated series at Netflix including were-lions, were-bears and were-stags.
